Purchase of plastic box pallets for watermelons in order to reduce the technological waste during transport and storage and ensure a higher added value of the market production of 170 decares of plantations

Project goals

The project aims to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of the farm, by improving the method of harvesting, transporting and storing the produced watermelons.
With the introduction of new plastic box pallets, the following results will be achieved:

• reduction of post-harvest losses and prevention of mechanical damage to the fruit during loading and transport;
• maintaining quality and the freshness of the produce during storage;
• speeding up the harvesting process and improving work organisation;
• increasing added value of the produce through better quality and improved market access.

Realization of the investment contributes to the sustainable development of the farm and to strengthen the local economy in the municipality of Dolni Dabnik.

Implementation of a system for automated washing, weighing, sorting, packaging and storage of watermelons, melons and cabbage

Project goals

The project aims to modernize technological processes on the farm by introducing an automated system for washing, weighing, sorting, packaging and short-term storage for vegetable produce.
With the realization of the investment, the following results are achieved:

• Improvement of hygiene, quality and commercial appearance of the produce.
• Loss reduction when harvesting and storing watermelons, melons and cabbage.
• Cost reduction through automation and reduction of manual labor.
• Increase productivity and the capacity of the farm.
• Flexibility to market demands in sorting and calibrating the fruits.
• Maintaining a continuous supply to the market, even in adverse weather conditions.
• Ensuring better working conditions and equal employment opportunities for men and women, thanks to the introduction of lifting and transport equipment.

This investment helps the technological and ecological transition of the farm, improving efficiency, sustainability and market access for its produce.
